"Child obesity a major problem"

... a problem that only affects fat people though, so not much to worry about!

Further, The National Obesity Forum is a lobbying front funded by Sanofi Aventis and Abbott Laboratories (see Note 2, page 12), so anything that they say can (and should) be cheerfully ignored.

Mark,

Intersting piece in this week's economis:

"ARTIFICIAL sweeteners have long been touted as being good for the calorie-conscious. Unfortunately, a study just published in Behavioral Neuroscience by Susan Swithers and Terry Davidson of Purdue University in Indiana suggests that such compounds may actually end up making people fatter than they otherwise would be. "

So yet again we have a "lobby" wanting to control our lives only to find that the oppsite is true.

You need to be a subscriber to read the online version.

GS, who was it touting artificial sweeteners? The manufacturers, perhaps? This story was in the papers, doesn't surprise me one bit, nothing surprises me any more.

Come on - you just want to have a go at big pharmacy.
Fat kids grow into rather ugly fat adults. When Miss universe weighs 200 pound it will be your fault.
